Questions asked in SBI CLERICAL Interview:-
Hi Friends,
Here I am posting my experience of SBI clerical Interview. It was a very cool interview. There is no stress interview at all. General banking was commonly asked by the interview panel. Common questions asked were:-

1) What do you know about our Bank?
2) What is the difference between debit card and credit card?
3) What is the difference between draft and cheque?
4) Tell me about yourself?
5) Why do you want to join our bank?
6) Tell me something about RBI?
7) Advantages of nationalization of bank.
8) Address of SBI Corporate office.
9) What do you understand by core banking?
10) What do you mean by CRR, SLR, and Repo rate?
11) What do you understand by inflation?
12) Meaning of terms liquidity, excise duty, currency etc.
These were the common questions asked to me in the interview. I hope these questions are going to help you all in your interview. Very soon in my next post I will be giving answers of these questions.

Recruitment of Trainee Navigating Officer Cadets

Trainee Navigating Officer Cadets (TNOCs) to Unmarried Male & Female candidates Under the Indira Gandhi National Open University – Directorate General of Shipping (IGNOU-DGS) Project leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science).

Educational Qualifications:
a) With Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years of B. Sc with not less than 50% marks in the final year of B.Sc. from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with not less than 55% marks in PCM from a recognized Board. OR
b) B.E./B.Tech. or its equivalent degree from I.I.T or from a college recognized by AICTE/UGC/DEC.

Age limit: (As on 2nd February 2009) – Not more than 25 years.

P Physical Standards: Candidates should be healthy and physically fit for sea service as per STCW 95/MS Medical rules 2000 as determined by SCI’s Chief Medical Officer and applicable to seafarers.

E Eyesight: Eyesight: 6/6 in each eye without visual aids. Normal colour vision. Candidates will have to undergo a full eyesight test before a Company Medical Officer and sight test by Mercantile Marine Department.

H How To Apply
1) The Application form can also be downloaded from the IGNOU website: www.ignou.ac.in. The filled-in Application form along with the requisite fee in the form of Demand Draft in favour of IGNOU payable at Delhi should reach the Registrar (SRED), Post Box No.2, IGNOU, New Delhi – 110 068 on or before 07th November 2008.
2. PHOTOCOPY of the completely filled up Application form sent to IGNOU shall be mailed to SCI for our records addressed to THE A GENERAL MANAGER (FPM), FLEET PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT, 3RD FLOOR,THE SHIPPING CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD, SHIPPING HOUSE, 245, MADAME CAMA ROAD, MUMBAI- 400 021.

Qualification:- The applicant must posses, as on 15.11.2008 the last date of receiving applications, the education qualifications in any of the following disciplines from a recognized Institute/University :-
a) - Three Years Engineering Diploma in

Age Limit : The applicant should be between 18 to 27 years of age.

How To Apply
A) Neatly typed (only on one side of paper) copy in A-4 size paper may be used for making application.
B) Three latest identical passport size photographs out of which one should be pasted on the application form duly attested, and the other two attached to the application (not to be pasted or attested).
C) The application must be reached to concerned SSA up to 15/11/2008. Such applications rejected which to be received after prescribed date or not enclosed with appropriate fees or photo and photocopy of mark sheet. Once fees paid, will not be refunded in any circumstances.
D) Such candidates, who are already in Govt. service, will send their own application through their office.
E) Two envelopes contained self-address and without stamp must be attached with application.

All photocopies of certificates/ marks lists attached to be attested by gazzetted officer.
