Recruitment of Lower Division Clerks (LDC)

Applications in the prescribed format are invited to fill up 66 vacancies in Lower Division Clerks in the Tamilnadu region of ESI Corporation. The details of the vacancies is as follows :

* LDC : 66 posts (UR-52, OBC-12), Age : 18-27 years as on 15/12/2008, Pay Band : Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.1900, Qualification : Higher Secondary Pass / 12th standard or equivalent (ii) Knowledge of typewriting with a speed of 30/25 words per minute in English/ Hindi respectively. (iii0 working knowledge of computer including use of Office Suites and database.

Age relaxation as per rules.

Application Fee : Demand Draft of Rs.100/- (No fee for SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex.SM/ Departmental candidates) drawn on State Bank of India in favour of Additional Commissioner, ESI Corporation, Chennai, payable at the Chennai.

Selection Process : Written exam of one paper of 3 hours duration of objective type for 200 marks having 4 parts (i) English Language (ii) General Intelligence & General Aptitude (iii) Numerical Aptitude (iv) General Awareness. Those who qualifiy will be called for Skill Test in tpewriting/ knowledge of computer etc.

How to Apply : Application in the prescribed application form may be submitted in an envelope super scribing "Application for the post of LDC" at the following address :

Application should be send with two copies of recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Group-"A"/ Group-"B"/ Gazetted Officer with one photograph pasted on the application form. and Attested copies of certificates and testimonials etc.

The application and the other documents should be arranged in the following order one below the other and tightly tagged or stapled on the left hand side top corner : Addional Photograph / Application Form/ Attested copies of certificates/ Self-Addressed envelope. DD should not be stapled, it should be clipped or pinned at the top of the application form.

The last date for receipt of application form is 15/12/2008.
