Essential qualification : First class M.Sc in Agriculture (Genetics & Plant Breeding/Agronomy/Soil Science/Horticulture)/Plant Sciences and allied subjects/Organic Chemistry
Desirable qualification for all the above positions : Candidates having 1st class in all 4 standards of examination viz 10th, 12th, B.Sc and M.Sc. will be preferred.
General conditions for all the above positions
1. Age limit : 25 years as on 2nd February, 2009 (Relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC, Physically Handicapped (PH) and Female candidates).
2. Stipend: Rs. 11,500/- per month (fixed).
3. Tenure : Maximum two years from the date of joining and not extendable under any circumstances. Performance of the interns will be reviewed every six month. In case the performance is not satisfactory, the internship will be terminated with one month's notice or one month's stipend in lieu thereof. During the internship period the intern would be free to appear for NET/GATE and secure regular fellowship for doing Ph.D.
4. Candidates who have already passed the CSIR-UGC NET-JRF examination may also apply and they will be eligible for JRFship as per CSIR/UGC terms & conditions.
5. Selection will be based on candidate's academic records, and/or (b) performance in the test, and (c) interview.
6. Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria will not entitle the applicant to be called for the Test/Interview.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test /interview.
Application should be submitted on plain paper duly signed mentioning Advertisement number, Subject/Area, Full name (Surname first), Date of birth, Age as on 2nd February, 2009, Sex, Category (SC/ST/OBC/PH), Father's name, Full mailing address, Academic qualifications 10+2 onwards, detailing examination passed, board/university, year of passing, % marks, subjects etc.). Any other relevant information considered important for the merit/qualification may also be given. A passport size photograph of the applicant should be pasted on the top right corner of the application. Attested copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials should also be included. Applications incomplete in any of the above respect (s) will not be entertained.
Applications duly completed in all respects should be addressed to the Scientist-in-charge, CIMAP, Resource Centre, Allalasandra, GKVK Post, Bangalore-560 065 to reach on or before 2nd February, 2009. Application received after the due date will not be entertained.
