Job Description :
Applications are invited from unmarried Male Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Executive Branch (General Service) of the Indian Navy for July 2010 Course.

Criteria of Eligibility:

Age Limit :
Between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years
(candidates to be born between 02 Jul 1985 to 01 Jan 1991; both dates inclusive)

Desired :
Any of the following
(a) A Science Graduate with Physics & Mathematics with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university
(b) BE/B.Tech. with min. 55% marks in aggregate in any discipline
(c) Science Graduate (Physcis & Mathematics) from a recognised university holding NCC Naval Wing , Senior Div. ‘C’ Certificate
(d) Graduate/Post Graduate in Operations Analysis and Operational Research/ Quantitative methods with minimum 75% marks.
e) Graduate/ Post Graduate in Mathematics with Probability or Statistics with minimum 75% marks

Physical Standards :
Height and Wieght : Minimum height Male – 157 cms with correlated weight.
Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400 and MSP Rs.6000

Note : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 19-1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1985 to 01 July 1990 both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : Science Graduate with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics OR Post Graduate in Science with minimum 55% marks in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics. (Those who have not complete their Degree, need not apply).

Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400 + MSP Rs.6000

Applications are invited from unmarried Male Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Technical Branches of Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES)

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 19 to 24 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1986 to 01 July 1991; both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : Applicant should be studying in AICTE approved College/Institution with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks till pre final year (Those in the final years need not apply):

  • Engineering Branch : Mechanical / Marine / Aeronautical / Production / Metallurgy (Only Men to apply)
  • Naval Architecture Cadre : Naval Architecture/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical (Both Men and Women can apply)
  • Electrical Branch : Electrical/ Electronics/ Tele Communication / Instrumentation / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication/ Power Engineering / Control System Engineering / Power Electronics/ Computer Science Engineering (Only Men to apply)

Physical Standards : Height and Weight : Minimum height Male - 157 cms and Female - 152 cms with correlated weight. Eye Sight - 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

The Indian Coast Guard, an armed force of the Union, offers a challenging and inspiring career as Group 'A' Gazetted Offices in the pay scale of 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- . Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the following posts:

  1. Assistant Commandant General Duty (Commercial Pilot License Entry) (Male/ Unmarried Female) : Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders for Short Service Appointment for period of 8 years which may be extended to 10 years and may be further extended up to 14 years by the competent authority, Qualification : 12th pass or equivalent and possess current Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Age : born between 01 July 1983 to 30 June 1991
  2. Assistant Commandant Technical Branch (Male only (Engineering) : Qualification : Degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine Mechanical/ Electrical/ Tele-communication & Electronic/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control (Electrical) Engineering or equivalent (ii) Possession of Certificate of Competency by Govt. of India, Ministry of Surface Transport as 1st class Engineer of Motorship or other similar certificate OR (iii) Possession of final exam certificate of the College of Marine Engineering under Department of Surface Transport, Government of India OR (iv) Have passed Section A & B of Institute of Engineers (India) examination in any of the disciplines listed above, Age : Born between 01 July 1980 to 30 June 1989

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates.

How to Apply : Application on plain paper in the prescribed form is to be sent so as to reach on or before 20/06/2009 (23/06/09 for candidates from far-flung areas).
