Eligibility Criteria :
A) Nationality / Citizenship.
a) A candidate must be a citizen of India.
b) The candidate should have fluency to speak, read and write in Kannada language
B) Educational Qualifications (as on 31.3.2009)
Post Code 01:
A degree from any recognized university or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. ( 55 % for SC/ ST/OBC) Preference shall be given to candidates who are computer literates in MS DOS, MS WORD, EXCEL NET WORKING etc. Knowledge of English and proficiency in local language (Kannada) is essential.
Preference shall be given wherever required to those who are having professional qualification in Engineering, Business, Administration, Law/ Agriculture/ Veterinary Sciences / Horticulture , Marketing ,Computers etc.
Post Code 02:
A degree from any recognized university in any discipline or its equivalent O R
A pass in Higher Secondary school examination of 10 + 2 or 10 + 2 + 3 pattern / 11th standard of 11 + 3 pattern/ Pre-degree or Intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% ( SC / ST 45%) marks in the aggregate. OR
Diploma in Banking recognized by State or Central Government. OR
Pass with minimum 60% marks ( SC/ST 55%) in aggregate in matriculation /Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or equivalent
AND
Proficiency in Kannada (To speak, read and write).
Knowledge of English.
Preference to computer literate in MS DOS, MS Word, MS Excel, Networking etc
Selection Procedure :
The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of written test and interview. Details about written test will be sent along with call letters. Written test will be on 1.Test of reasoning, 2.Quantitative Aptitude, 3.Test of general awareness, 4. Test of English Language of 50 marks each for Officers & 1.Reasoning ability, 2.Numerical ability, 3.Clerical aptitude, 4.English Language of 50 marks each for Clerks. Only those candidates who ranked sufficiently high in the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1 : 4. Mere eligibility/ pass in the test shall not vest any right for being called for interview. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be extended relaxation upto 5% in qualifying marks in written examination.
b. Interview – 40 marks:
The candidates shall secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in interview.
Final selection will be on the basis of ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the written test and interview, subject to securing minimum marks in interview as stated above.
